The Results of our 2 Year Survey are Ready!
The past two years we have asked our patients to compete an anonymous patient survey. While the survey asks demographic information, which we can now retrieve from Epic, the more interesting information is how our patients feel about our services, as well as how they get to the clinic, how they heard about the clinic, and where they would go if we did not exist. Below are the findings.

Just about all of our patients came to the clinic by car – either driving themselves or having a family member/friend drive them.
Note that only two new patients at the Reading clinic completed the survey; there may be more responses of using a bus or walked in the future.
Most patients heard about the clinic through a friend or relative – word of mouth. A couple responded “Other” and added a side note that they found us on the internet.
NOTE: We have limited the distribution of flyers advertising our services so that we don’t overrun the clinic and not be able to serve them in a timely fashion.
Perhaps the most interesting responses were to the question of the patient couldn’t come to the clinic where would they turn for medical care. We are ASSUMING that the patients that replied “No answer” were not sure where they would go, so left the question response blank. If so, then 49% of our patients have no other place to go, hence the need for our services.

Our services are offered to those adults without health insurance. Of the patients surveyed, nearly 60% have never had health insurance. Of the 41% that have had health insurance, most lost/dropped their insurance over one year ago. The disturbing answer was that 56% of patients work in jobs where the employer does not offer health insurance, only 14% have employers that do offer insurance, but in most cases, they don’t qualify (not enough hours, still in a waiting period) or they can’t afford the premiums.
